Stranger Things season 5 premiere causes Netflix to crash

Netflix, a well-known streaming service, reportedly faced severe disruptions as fans raced to see the eagerly anticipated Stranger Things Season 5 debut. The service has been unavailable to many customers in the United States, and viewers in India have also experienced minor disturbances.

The platform crashed immediately after the first four episodes of the last season aired on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Pacific Time Zone, according to PEOPLE, preventing people from accessing the eagerly awaited release. As the streaming service malfunctioned, millions of fans who had been waiting three years for the last chapter flocked to social media to vent their outrage.

Netflix claims that the problem was swiftly fixed. PEOPLE was informed by a corporate representative that “some members briefly experienced an issue streaming on TV devices, but service recovered for all accounts within five minutes.” The incident occurred just hours after Ross Duffer, a co-creator of the series, claimed in an Instagram Story that Netflix had already expanded its server capacity, saying the company has “increased bandwidth by 30 per cent to avoid a crash.”

The popular science fiction series, which will end with Season 5, is coming to a conclusion with this release. After a lesser time jump than many anticipated after Season 4, which was set in spring 1986, the final episodes begin in October 1987.

The Hawkins crew will face the “Upside Down” one last time in the last chapter. Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder are among the returning cast members. According to Netflix’s fan site Tudum, Season 5 consists of eight episodes, according to PEOPLE. The series finale will air on December 31 after the release of Episodes 5, 6, and 7 on December 25.
