The deepfake video of Bollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna has gone viral on the internet. The video, which shows a lady entering an elevator wearing a unitard with a plunging neckline, angered fans, who demanded strict action for the culprits. Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika’s Goodbye co-star, has now responded to the viral video.

For quite some time, the video had been making the rounds on the internet. While some were shocked others demanded authorities to investigate.

Lately, the original video and the viral one were re-shared by an X (previously known as Twitter) user. The original one features Zara Patel, an Instagram personality of Indian origin.

Amitabh Bachchan reacted to the news after a journalist highlighted the need for a legal framework to deal with deepfake in India. He wrote, “Yes this is a strong case for legal.”

Many users reacted to the video. One wrote, “The misuse of technology is very evident. These kinds of technology should not be easily available to the common public!! Legal framework to deal with deepfakes is a must.” Another person tweeted, “The use of deepfake technology to create inappropriate videos is deeply concerning and is a violation of privacy and consent. Legal action should definitely be taken in such cases.”
