Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has expressed deep concern for veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, who is currently under medical care in Mumbai following a minor brain haemorrhage. While doctors have confirmed that Salim Khan is stable, Ghai’s heartfelt words have drawn attention to the personal bond the two share.

Speaking to ANI, Ghai described Salim Khan as more than just a colleague from the film industry. He said their relationship spans over three to four decades and called him “like a brother.” Emphasising the respect Salim commands, Ghai noted that it is not only him but the entire film fraternity that holds the veteran writer in high regard.

He also mentioned that actor Salman Khan came into his professional life later, but his association with Salim Khan goes back much further. According to Ghai, Salim’s contribution to cinema and his character as a person have earned him immense admiration. He prayed for his good health and long life, calling him a genuinely good human being.

Salim Khan, 90, was admitted to hospital on February 17 after suffering a minor haemorrhage. Doctors have stated that he is stable and recovering under close supervision.As the industry awaits further updates, messages of support continue to pour in, reflecting the respect and affection Salim Khan has built over decades.
