Aditya Dhar’s action spy thriller Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the biggest cinematic successes in recent times, continuing to dominate the box office weeks after its release. The Ranveer Singh-led film, which hit theatres on December 5, has not only broken multiple records but has also secured its position as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.

As appreciation for the film continues to pour in, veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai has joined the growing list of celebrities applauding the project. Taking to Instagram on Monday, Ghai shared a picture of director Aditya Dhar and congratulated him for creating what he described as a strong artistic work within a commercial framework of Hindi cinema.

In his post, Ghai revealed that he watched the film recently and was deeply impressed by its layered storytelling. He praised the film’s chapter-wise narrative, the conflicts and challenges within the plot, and the attention given to character detailing. The filmmaker also highlighted the casting, costumes, cinematography, and the believable action sequences, noting that even the smallest characters left a lasting impact on screen.

Ghai further appreciated the world-building in the film, particularly the depiction of Pakistani gangs, and said the overall execution reflected thoughtful craftsmanship. According to him, Dhurandhar fully deserves the commercial success it has achieved, adding that he feels proud of Dhar and his entire team.
