Sunil Chhetri, the Bengaluru FC skipper has extended his contract for two years till 2023 with the Indian Super League club. He had joined the Blues in the year 2013 and has netted 101 goals for the club.

Chhetri expressed his gestures towards the contract extension and said that he is very happy to extend it to two years for Bengaluru FC. He stated that the city is like a home for him and the people of the club are like his family. He is looking forward to making more memories and has great moments with the club.
“I am really happy to sign for two more years at the Bengaluru FC. The city is home now and the people of this club are like family to me. It feels just like yesterday that I signed for the first time here and I have to say the journey has been nothing short of special. I love this club and supporters and the city. All three of which I have a strong bond with and I am looking forward to being part of many more great moments with them,” said Chhetri.
Indian Captain Sunil Chhetri who helped India win for the climacteric qualifier with his brace vs Bangladesh was Bengaluru’s top-scorer in their 2020-2021, the season which was very disappointing for the club. He scored 8 goals in 20 games.
