Sunil Grover opens up about future roles; says he comes with much comedy baggage

Sunil Grover talks about taking up more diverse roles in the future.

Indian television actor and stand-up comedian, Sunil Grover has gained unlimited love and support of his fans across India with his charming sense of humour and amazing comedic performances.

The actor has played many comedic roles on The Kapil Sharma show such as Gutthi and Rinku Bhabhi. He came into the limelight for playing the role of Dr Mashoor Gulati. He had proved his diverse acting abilities yet again by being a part of the political thriller web series Tandav.

In a recent interview with PTI, the actor chatted about taking up diverse and more versatile roles in his upcoming projects. He also said that he wants to enjoy this ‘new phase’.

Grover will next be seen in the upcoming web series Sunflower. The star explained that while he enjoys taking up comedic roles like that of Dr. Gulati, he also believes that it is time for him to try new roles and experiment himself.

He said, “In a long story format, you have to set a graph for your role.” The actor also said, “I am enjoying this new phase,”

 Sunil also shared about having ‘comedic baggage’ for years and how difficult it was for him to being accepted by the audience in new roles. “What I did earlier wasn’t planned because I started with something else and I went into something else,” he said.
