Actor Sunny Deol recently met the family of Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, whose extraordinary courage forms a key inspiration for the film Border 2. Sharing the moment on social media, Deol described the meeting as deeply warm and memorable, calling it a privilege to interact with the family of a national hero.
In his post, the actor noted that Sekhon’s story of unmatched bravery will be portrayed in the film by Diljit Dosanjh. He added that Border 2 stands as a salute not just to soldiers, but also to their families who quietly carry forward their legacy with strength and dignity.

Sunny Deol plays Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, a commanding officer who mentors young soldiers portrayed by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana in important roles.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under T-Series Films and J.P. Films, Border 2 has shown strong commercial momentum. According to Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹95.75 crore worldwide so far, reflecting continued audience enthusiasm for patriotic war dramas.
