Plot
The official synopsis describes Sunny as a new dark comedy, yet the trailer gives the impression that it’s a whodunit thriller. The streamer recently unveiled a new teaser for the show, which stars Rashida Jones and will soon be available on Apple TV+. It turns out that Sunny is about Suzie, portrayed by Rashida Jones, an American living in Japan, whose life is turned upside down when her kid and husband vanish in an unexplained plane crash. She is perplexed when her husband Masa (Hidetoshi Nishijima) introduces her to Sunny, a new class of household robots; she had thought he worked on refrigerators at an electronics business. Suzie is similar to Sunny from I, Robot, where Will Smith’s Detective Spooner takes some time to get used to the robot.
