Supermodel Gigi Hadid caught red handed with Marijuana in Caymen Islands

According to numerous media outlets, American supermodel Gigi Hadid was detained for cannabis possession while on vacation in the Cayman Islands.

The 28-year-old supermodel was reportedly detained on July 10 at Owen Roberts International Airport after travelling in the Cayman Islands with a pal via private plane, according to E! News. According to a story from Cayman Marl Road, which The E! News cited, customs authorities allegedly discovered “ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja” in Hadid and her friend’s luggage shortly after their private plane arrival.

According to the source, Hadid and her friend were subsequently detained on “suspicion of ganja importation and importation of utensils used for the consumption of ganja,” after which they were brought to the Prisoner Detention Centre and released on bail. Cayman Marl Road stated, this occurred during the examination of both tourists’ luggage. Marijuana and accessories for consuming marijuana were found there. The small quantity seemed to be for individual usage.

The news source further stated that on July 12, 2023, GiGi Hadid and her pal McCarthy appeared in summary court and were charged. They admitted their guilt and were each fined $1,000, but there was no formal finding of guilt.
