On June 4, the Scottish singer Susan Boyle reappeared on the “Britain’s Got Talent” finale.
In 2009, Susan was a contestant on the show. She went to the stage and sang “I Dreamed a Dream”, which changed her life. After her song, the hosts, Dec Donnelly and Ant McPartlin, asked her about her experience of returning again. Susan replied, “It feels great. It is extra special for me because, last April, I suffered a minor stroke. I have fought like crazy to get back on stage. And I have done it.”
Simon Cowell, the creator and judge of the show, also shared his gratitude with her. He said, “Susan, we owe you so much, and I knew you weren’t well, but if anyone was going to come back, you were going to come back because it wouldn’t be the same without you.” Susan has given hits like Wild Horses, I Dreamed a Dream, Stand by Me, Memory, Proud, and many more.
She took to her Instagram and posted the same. Susan captioned it as, “Tonight I had the privilege of returning to @bgt and performing with the wonderful cast of @lesmizofficial,” she began. “This evening was even more special for me as, in April 2022, I had a stroke.”
