On Saturday, May 22, Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar has been arrested by a team of Delhi Police after the 17 days of FIR against him.
Delhi Police had filed an FIR against the Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar after a fight causing several injuries and the demise of one wrestler Sagar Rana while he was being taken to the hospital. The incident took place inside the Chhatrasal Stadium on May 5.
Earlier on May 18, the Delhi court dismissed the anticipatory bail application filed by the two-times Olympic medalist regarding reference to the Chhatrasal incident The Court said that Sushil Kumar is the prime suspect and allegations against him are serious in nature.
In the brawl between the two groups at the stadium premises in Delhi on May 4 Wrestler Sagar Rana died, while two of his friends Sonu and Amit Kumar got injured after they were assaulted by Sushil Kumar and other wrestlers of his side.
