Taapsee Paanu names Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan among 3 actors who modified audience perception of female stars

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu has named the top three actors she feels has changed the way the audience look after the female actors to this day. As per Pannu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Vidya Balan, and Tabu are the key women who have changed the angle of people view female stars about how incredibly a woman in Bollywood is carried.

Speaking to Filmfare fortheir June issue, Pannu said, “If I have to choose three names who’ve made the audience look at the female actors seriously then I’ll name Vidya Balan, Tabu and Priyanka Chopra Jona. Vidya Balan because she did such mind-blowing films like ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ back-to-back and showed us this is possible. Tabu because she always makes us furious about what she’s going to do next and Priyanka because of all that she achieved not just here but in abroad as well. All three have helped change the perception about female actors for better.”

Priyanka Chopra has recently joined Victoria’s Secret campaign alongside Megan Rapinoe and five other after the company ditches their models (who they addresses as Angels) to focus on women empowerment, giving a platform to female athletes, activists, entrepreneurs, journalist and advocates.

Taapsee Pannu has various projects in row. She will soon be sighted in Rashmi Rocket, Haseen Dillruba, Loop Lapeta and Do Baara.
