Tamil Nadu CM in a letter requests PM Modi to cancel all national level entrance exams

As the pandemic is getting worse by the day, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to cancel all national level entrance examinations including the NEET UG 2021.

The letter read, “Dear Prime Minister, Vanakkam, I wish to draw your attention to an urgent issue concerning the future of Class XII students in the state.” He mentioned the increase of COVID 19 cases in the country and that the CBSE board has also canceled the XII board examinations this year. It continued to say that as the exams are not being held but it is the only way for students to secure their further studies, Tamil Nadu has formed a committee that will be responsible for deciding, evaluating, and compiling the marks of the 12th-grade students and that admissions for higher studies such will be made on the basis of the marks awarded to the students by this committee.
