The Tiago CNG AMT and the Tigor CNG AMT, both priced at Rs 7,89,900 (ex-showroom) and Rs 8,84,900 (ex-showroom), respectively, have been launched by Tata Motors. The Tiago and Tigor CNG are India’s first CNG cars with automated manual transmission (AMT). The claimed mileage is 28.06 km/kg.
The Tiago and Tigor use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. It produces 86PS and 113Nm in petrol mode, and 73.4PS and 95Nm in CNG mode. Both petrol and CNG versions now offer 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions.

Speaking on the launch, Tata Motors’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Amit Kamat, stated, “CNG, known for its widespread availability and accessibility, has garnered considerable acceptance over the years.
