Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s recent girls’ night out took an unexpected turn when Swift’s past relationship with Joe Alwyn made a subtle reappearance—through a cocktail!
The two besties were enjoying their evening at Negroni Caffe Bar in Beverly Hills when a bartender served them the “London Boy” cocktail, a cheeky nod to Swift’s 2019 song from Lover, which is widely believed to be about Alwyn.
“I can’t believe I got to serve The London Boy to #TaylorSwift herself!” bartender Wyatt wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of the yellow cocktail garnished with flowers.
Wyatt admitted he had been skeptical about meeting celebrities in real life, referencing musician Halsey’s famous remark that idols can be “f**ing weirdos.”* But his interaction with Swift proved otherwise.
“She was as kind as she is stunning!” he gushed, later revealing on his Instagram story that Swift had “approved” the London Boy drink.
Despite the Alwyn reference, Swift—who is now in a high-profile relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce—seemed completely unbothered. A Negroni Caffe Bar spokesperson told Page Six that Swift and Gomez were in a fun, carefree mood during their February 4 outing.
The Emilia Pérez actress, meanwhile, enjoyed another cocktail called Lonely Muse while indulging in traditional Latin American food.
Swifties, of course, couldn’t help but marvel at the irony of the moment—her ex’s influence still finding a way to show up in her night out!
