Taylor Swift announces new re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor’s Version)

Taylor Swift is going back to 1989. The singer has announced the re-release of her 2014 album, which includes three Number One hits, “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “Bad Blood,” as well as other loved tracks like “Out of the Woods,” and “Clean.”

Swift unveiled that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be released on Oct. 27, the same date as the original album’s release 9 years ago, at her final U.S. show of the Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

“You might have noticed there were some new outfits on the show… There’s something I’ve been doing for a really, really ridiculously, embarrassingly long time. I think instead of telling you about it, just show sort of show you,” she said.

The 33-year-old then showed the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) cover on the screen behind her. It featured a smiling Swift against a  blue sky with birds, much like the original 1989 cover, but with her own unique touch.

Swift hinted at the surprise by donning different blue outfits during the show, including a blue gown for “Enchanted,” a new blue outfit for the Folklore period and a sparkling blue dress for her acoustic set.

Fans guessed she might announce the album based on the blue outfits she wore during the concert.
