Everyone was alarmed by the break-in at Travis Kelce’s house last month, including his girlfriend Taylor Swift. Her feelings over the incident were just made public by a source. In the wake of the burglary event, the source told Page Six that she is feeling “thankful.”
The event happened on October 7 as Kelce was playing against the New Orleans Saints at his enormous estate in Leawood, Kansas. The musician is “thankful that no one was hurt and that neither of them was home during the robberies,” a source told the media outlet. At 7:30 p.m., the thief broke into Kelce’s home. According to TMZ, earlier this week, the reporter stole $20,000 in cash from the house Kelce purchased in October 2023.
According to the reports, the event also caused damage to the football player’s home’s back door. Swift made news at the Kansas City Chiefs game for wearing glitter and was seen embracing pregnant Brittany Mahomes during the incident. Following their victory over the New Orleans Saints, the power couple headed to an after-party.
Patrick Mahomes’ home in Belton, Missouri, was also broken into 48 hours before Kelce’s house was broken into. Additionally, the quarterback was out on October 5th celebrating Kelce’s 35th birthday, therefore the football player was not home when the incident happened. Whether or not his wife, Brittany, and kids were home at the time has not yet been verified. During a press conference on Wednesday, Mahomes discussed the “disappointing” incident.
“I can’t go into too many details because the investigation is still ongoing,” he said during the conference, “but it’s obviously something you don’t want to happen to anybody — and obviously yourself.”
According to sources who spoke to TMZ, FBi is looking into the issue in conjunction with local police agencies and thinks that an organised crime gang may have planned and connected the two crimes.
