Reddy accused the actor of being indifferent to the tragedy, claiming that Arjun saw the incident as a boost to his film’s success. Despite police warnings against attending the screening, the actor reportedly disregarded advice and proceeded to the event. The Chief Minister alleged that Arjun prioritized his promotional commitments over the safety of the audience, calling his actions “insensitive and reckless.”
In a statement during the Telangana Assembly, Reddy expressed frustration over the actor’s behavior. He suggested that Arjun’s presence at the event was unnecessary and escalated the situation. The Chief Minister also criticized the actor’s alleged response to the tragedy, highlighting reports that Arjun remarked, “Now the movie will be a hit” upon learning of the stampede.
