Thamma box office collection Day 5: Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer sees growth, earns ₹78 crore

Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starred in Thamma, which was released by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, expanding its horror-comedy universe. On its fifth day, the movie saw a spike in sales and is currently creating waves at the box office.

Sacnilk, a trade tracking website, reports that Thamma maintained its impressive performance in the first several days at the box office. The movie made ₹13 crore on the fifth day, for a total of ₹78.60 crore. Additionally, Varun’s Maddock horror-comedy Bhediya’s lifetime earnings of ₹68.99 crore have now been surpassed by the film. In the past, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’s domestic profits of ₹60.35 crore were surpassed by Thamma.

On Saturday, the movie’s overall occupancy rate in Hindi was 19.72%. Both reviewers and viewers gave the movie generally favourable reviews. Thamma made ₹24 crore on its first day of release, giving it a huge start at the box office. With earnings of ₹18.6 crore on day two and ₹13 crore on day three, the movie maintained its impressive run. Despite being a working day, it remained stable at ₹10 crore even on the first Friday.

The fifth installment in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, following Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya, and Stree 2 (2024), is Thamma, which was directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Ayushmann Khurrana plays a man who unexpectedly turns into a vampire in the movie.

After that, he develops feelings for Rashmika Mandanna, but their relationship quickly runs into problems. In the movie, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be portrayed as a villain. The film, which was produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan, is characterised as a violent love tale. October 21 was the release date.
