Thamma box office collection day 9: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna’s film crosses ₹100 crore, sees slight dip in earnings

On October 21, Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror comedy Thamma, which starred Rashmiika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana in the key parts, was released in theatres. The movie has made ₹104 crore net in India in the nine days since it opened and is doing well at the box office.

With an estimated ₹2.72 crore net in India on Wednesday, Thamma’s total domestic collection dropped to ₹104.07 crore net, according to the trade website Sacnilk. The horror comedy made ₹95.6 crore in its first week after launching at ₹24 crore. After earning ₹5.75 crore on its eighth day, Tuesday, the movie surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone. On Monday, it earned ₹4.3 crore.

Even on weekdays, the movie has done well so far, but it’s unclear how much it will bring in at the end of its run. In its franchise, Thamma is currently the second-highest earning. In the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, Thamma lives. During its lifetime run, Stree (2018) brought in ₹129.83 crore in India, whereas Stree 2 (2024) brought in ₹597.99 crore.

While in theatres, the other films in the franchise, Bhediya (2022) and Munjya (2024), brought in ₹68.99 crore and ₹101.60 crore, respectively, in India.
