The Kerala Story 2 box office: sees strong jump on 2nd Saturday, crosses ₹25 crore in 9 days

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond grossed Rs. 3.00 crore on its second Saturday, up 41% from the previous day. It is a 27% drop from the first Saturday, indicating a robust hold. Ther Kerala Story 2’s running cume has surpassed Rs. 25 crore at the Indian box office, adding to its Rs. 20.25 crore from the first week.

There is a huge cricket match today, so further development will be limited; it may even dip slightly. Nonetheless, the film is likely to earn approximately Rs. 8 crore nett in its second weekend, which is only 20% less than its shorter first week. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and starring Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha, and Aditi Bhatia in the lead roles, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has a free run of 10 days, as no Hindi release is arriving until Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.

Until then, the movie is expected to reach the Rs. 40 crore nett mark, which will be a solid total for the film. When compared to the first film, the box office run of the sequel is nowhere near as good; however, whatever the movie is minting is commendable for a no-face value film.

The original film was a hit, opening to Rs. 6.75 crore and totaling Rs. 220 crore nett. A couple of films in this genre were hugely successful in the early 2020s, but they have subsequently declined in popularity. For example, The Bengal Files fell from The Kashmir Files. The Kashmir Files 2 will likewise experience a significant dip from the original, but it will perform well for its cost.
