The Welcome franchise is officially set to return to cinemas this summer. The makers have announced that Welcome to the Jungle, the next instalment in the popular comedy series, will hit theatres on June 26. The film brings back Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty and expands the franchise with an unusually large ensemble cast.
The release date confirmation follows a special message shared by Akshay Kumar during Christmas, where the actor offered fans a glimpse into the scale of the project. In a video posted on social media, Akshay extended festive wishes “from the giant cast of Welcome to the Jungle,” while introducing several familiar faces from the industry. The clip featured a lively, holiday-themed version of the iconic Welcome background score, setting the tone for the film’s trademark chaos and humour.
One of the standout moments from the video was Akshay’s dual appearance. The actor was seen sporting two distinct looks one with long grey hair and a beard, and another in a sharp, action-ready avatar. The visual hinted at his character possibly leading two rival gangs, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the comedy.
Alongside Akshay and Suniel Shetty, the film stars Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rajpal Yadav, Aftab Shivdasani, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Lara Dutta, and several others, making it one of the most crowded casts in recent Bollywood comedies.
