The Morning Show returns for season 2 on Apple TV+ from September

The trailer which premiered recently gives us a glimpse of how the second season might be at the fictional morning news program

American drama television series, The Morning Show, which is inspired by the book written by Brian Stelter, will be returning for a second season on September 17 on Apple TV+. The upcoming season of the series will be consisting of 10 episodes, and the studio will be releasing one episode per week on Fridays.

The trailer, which released recently, gives viewers the first looks at some of the new characters which will be introduced for the upcoming season, including actors Greta Lee as Stella Bak, a tech world wunderkind who will be joining the executive team at the fictional office of UBA; Hasan Minhaj, who will be portraying the role of Eric Nomani, a new member of the titular morning newsgroup; and Julianna Margulies who will be playing Laura Peterson, a news anchor at UBA. In addition to Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, the season will be starring returning cast members like Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, and Tom Irwin. They will be joined by new characters and actors; Ruairi O’Connor as Ty Fitzgerald, a charismatic and smart YouTube celebrity; Holland Taylor as Cybil Richards, a chairwoman of the UBA board; Tara Karsian as Gayle Berman, a news producer, and Valeria Golino as Paola Lambruschini, a documentary filmmaker.

The first season of The Morning Show had received mixed reviews initially upon the beginning of the series but gradually picked up pace and popularity as the episodes progressed. The series finally ended up winning the SAG Award for Drama Actress for Jennifer Aniston and the Supporting Drama Actor Critics Choice Award and also an Emmy award for Billy Crudup. The series is executive produced by Aniston, Witherspoon, Kerry Ehrin, Michael Ellenberg, Kristin Hahn, Lauren Neustadter, and Mimi Leder, who have also directed several episodes in the series.
