The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) – pros & challenges

We present you with advantages (pros) and challenges of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA)

National Recruitment Agency is an independent specialized organization that is responsible for conducting NRA CET (Common Entrance Test) for 10th pass, 12th pass and graduate candidates in order to prepare candidates for further stages of the selection process. This test is the replacement of preliminary exams in SSC, RRB and banking exams. Now we will tell you the advantages and challenges of the NRA (National Recruitment Agency).

1. The pros of NRA 2021

a) Refined process of recruitment

At present, there are more than 20 recruitment government agencies across India. Every year more than two crores to three crores candidates appear for various government exams conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection Commission), RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) and Banking. Most of the students would wish to appear for multiple examinations but the process is too huge that it is not easy for them to apply for different examinations. So with the common eligibility test resolves all problems by applying to various exams at one place and appear for all these exams daily.

b) Application Process

As there are various government exams conducted in a year and students needs to fill multiple applications which are very hectic and also very time-consuming. Hence, all those problems will be solved while applying for NRA CET. If the candidates apply for one time and fill the applications, this can reduce their tension to fill multiple applications.

c) Huge application fees

There is a value of fee structure in each examination. So, to overcome these problems, the government came up with the idea of introducing only one examination and that is NRA CET. When the candidates will apply for the NRA CET examination, they will have to just pay a one-time fee payment which is applicable to all examinations. This is the major advantage of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA).

d) Ease of access to exam centres

According to the announcement, the authorities have decided to form an examination infrastructure in 117 aspirational districts. It will help the candidates in the rural region to apply for the exam easily and also motivate them to take up such government exams with the least cost and simpler process.

e) Multiple mediums of exams

At present, the agencies are conducting examinations in only two mediums i.e, English and Hindi only. Now, the NRA decided to conduct the exam in a total of 12 languages. So this will help the candidates who are studying in different regional languages.

f) 3 years validity of score

The score of the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be valid for 3 years from the date of the result declaration and the students can utilize this scorecard and apply for various government and private organizations. This is really great news for the candidates who are tensed regarding the importance of the result of this exam.

g) Multiple numbers of attempts

As compared to other government exams, CET (Common Entrance Test) can be given any number of times unless the students fulfills the eligibility criteria. So we request you to not miss a bright chance to apply for the CET 2021.

h) Freedom to schedule Test & choose the examination centre

In NRA CET, the candidates can schedule their tests and choose their exam centre as per their taste and preferences. Based on the availability of the exam centres, the students can take up the exam easily. Unlike earlier the exam conducting authorities had to announce the exam date first and then it would get postponed due to various circumstances. Now, with the help of this exam, the process is simpler for students.

i) Save time on travelling

This exam can help the candidates to not travel to various regions for applying multiple exams and can just appear all exams in one place. This creates a big relief for all candidates who had to travel long distances to appear for multiple governments examinations.

2. The Challenges of NRA

a) Unorganized Syllabus

The NRA (National Recruitment Agency) has announced the same syllabus for all three sectors (SSC, RRB, Banking) which would make things tougher for RRB as they don’t have English in their syllabus. The candidates find it difficult to read and understand the topics and the NRA should come up with solutions to this problem.

b) Only one chance in a year

Before, the candidates use to appear SSC, RRB and Banking exams separately. Unfortunately, now if the students score less than a par score, then they will have to wait for another year to appear for this examination. This would be not fair if some students work really very hard and scores less and will have to wait for a year to appear again. This can create a lot of loss in time.

c) Delay in exams

At present, RRB has delayed the exams and more than 1 crore students had applied for RRB, NTPC and RRB Group D back in 2019 and until now there is no information about the exam date. The changing of the exam schedule can create confusion in the candidate’s mind that whether the fees will be refunded or what is going to happen. Still, there are lots of students waiting for the exam to be conducted.
