The Raja Saab, which stars Prabhas in the lead role, has had a strong start at the box office. Despite mediocre to unfavourable reviews, The Raja Saab grossed over ₹112 crore globally. The film’s cast and crew held a press conference on Saturday to celebrate its triumph. At the ceremony, director Maruthi said that Allu Arjun had phoned him to congratulate him on the film’s success.
At the event, Maruthi said, “My director friends and producers from the industry have made so many calls since the film released in theatres. My friend Bunny babu (Allu Arjun) called me yesterday morning to talk about the film. So please don’t think that I am feeling sad over anything. We have made something new with this film and we are very happy with the response.”
“Please celebrate the film like a festival. It is a gift from us before any festival, to bring you this film. We worked really hard on The Raja Saab so it means a lot to all of us. Thank you so much.”
Meanwhile, the filmmakers revealed that new scenes starring Prabhas with an older look have been added to the film. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People’s Media Factory released the new addition to the media, saying, “There’s a 4-minute clip of Prabhas in his former avatar that’s missing from the film. We had the output a week ago owing to an unfortunate situation and the server being down, but it needed to be cleaned up and corrected. We finished it and sent it to the cinemas.”
The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad for People Media Factory, starring Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab.
