With the help of Netflix, Three Body Universe and Yoozoo Group will release an English version of their novels sometime in 2020. There is a final chance of seeing the series premiere after over two years. It will only be a matter of time before the series is available, according to a recent statement from Netflix.
The series, which is based on a novel of the same name by well-known Chinese author Lia Cixin, will follow a researcher who becomes caught up in a conspiracy and also ends up having to assist extraterrestrials. The series will be adapted by David Benioff and DB Weiss, who expressed excitement about bringing the most ambitious sci-fi show to our screens.
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Plot
The series is based on the same-titled novel by Liu Cixin. It centers on Wang Miao, a Chinese physicist and nanomaterials researcher who becomes involved in a plot after being instructed to challenge the Frontiers of Science organization. Since the group’s members have a low suicide rate, the state of intelligence has taken notice.
Ye Wenjie, an astronomer who saw his father commit suicide forty years prior, is brought to a work camp but subsequently released when it is discovered that she has a scientific background. Since Wang is assigned to take care of his father’s estate, the two gradually become friends and she shares information about her job with him.
Wang participates in the Three Body game, which is set in an exotic planet. He has to employ scientific ways to address the creature’s misconception about the nature of their universe because that is the game’s goal.
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Cast
Characters from past shows are included in the Netflix series, which had its casting revealed in 2021. Liam Cunningham (The Hot Zone) and John Bradley, two actors from Game of Thrones, will appear in the series (Marry Me). Bradley played Samwell Tarly, the Grand Master, while Cunningham played Davos Seaworth, the knight and well-known smuggler.
Rosalind Chao, well-known for her Star Trek recurring role, will join Benedict Wong (What We Do in the Shadows), Tsai Chin, Jovan Adepo (The Stand), Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, and Alex Sharp in the ensemble.
