“Thelma the Unicorn” is a recently released animated film that Jared Hess, of Napoleon Dynamite, co-directed. based on Aaron Blabey’s children’s book of the same name. Blabey and Patrick Hughes are executive producers, and Pam Coats is a producer. Along with his wife Jerusha Hess, Hess co-wrote the script for Thelma the Unicorn. The scripts for the films Napoleon Dynamite (2004), Nacho Libre (2006), Gentlemen Broncos (2009), and Don Verdean (2015) were previously written by Jared and Jerusha. Jared directed all of these films.
