Theo Walcott joins Southampton on a permanent deal

Theo Walcott is set to join Southampton on a two-year deal after his loan spell ends. He is currently on loan in Southampton from fellow Premier League side, Everton. The former Arsenal forward joined the side on a season-long deal last year and was set to become a free agent in the summer due to his Everton deal expiring. He will sign the deal once his Everton contract expires in June. The 32-year-old has three premier League goals and three assists this season that has helped the team a lot. He has been a very good influence on the team.

He suffered a hamstring injury back in January but has been constantly performing in this season and has often found himself in the starting XI this season even though he was supposed to play a supportive role from the bench.

He said that he is very happy to extend his contract and Southampton means a lot to him personally and professionally. He also thanked Everton for his time with the blues and their extensive support to him in his worst time.
