‘This, too shall pass’: ‘Selling Sunset’ Star Amanza Smith Hospitalized for ‘Excruciating’ Back Pain from Blood Infection

Amanza Smith, well known for her role in the hit show Selling Sunset, recently revealed that she was hospitalised due to a blood infection that was causing excruciating back pain. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress shared updates with her fans, shedding light on her diagnosis, treatment, and upcoming surgery.

Smith explained how her health ordeal began, first attributing her symptoms to a common back problem. The ache, however, remained, leaving her in anguish for days. Determined to find relief, she sought medical treatment, underwent multiple tests and fervently pursued a proper diagnosis. After weeks of waiting, she at last got some answers.

Smith was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, a serious infection that had spread from her blood to the bones in her spine, based on the results of an MRI and CT scan. Despite the terrifying diagnosis, the actress expressed her gratitude to her medical team, who acted quickly. She also talked about her future surgery plans, which include the removal of infected portions of her spine and expressed faith that it would bring relief to her excruciating back pain.
