Tara Reid’s revelation about her brief romantic connection with NFL legend Tom Brady turned heads, especially since it came to light just as rumors about Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marital troubles were beginning to surface. In an interview with Bustle, Reid shared that her relationship with Brady occurred before she got engaged to TV host Carson Daly in 2000. Although their connection wasn’t serious, Reid described their time together as fun, noting that Brady was “cool” and more laid-back back then, in contrast to his more serious and confident persona today.
While Reid opened up about her past with Brady in several interviews, Brady has stayed silent on the subject. The couple went on to lead very different lives: Brady married Bündchen in 2009, but their marriage faced strain, especially when Brady decided to unretire from football, a decision that reportedly caused tension between them. After 13 years of marriage, they confirmed their divorce in 2022.
Meanwhile, Reid’s own love life saw a shift when she ended her engagement to Daly in 2001. She later married Bulgarian financier Zachary Kehayov in 2011, in a private ceremony.
