Zachery Ty Bryan, the actor best known for his role on Home Improvement, has found himself in legal trouble once again, marking his third arrest in just 12 months. The latest incident occurred on January 1, 2025, when Bryan was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and charged with second-degree domestic violence. Authorities reported that Bryan was booked into Horry County Jail the following day, with bail set at $10,000.
This arrest comes after two previous incidents. In October 2024, Bryan was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a valid license. Earlier in February 2024, he was also arrested for DUI and a misdemeanor contempt of court charge.
Unfortunately, this isn’t Bryan’s first brush with domestic violence charges. In July 2023, he was arrested for felony assault and third-degree robbery. He later pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge in the fourth degree, resulting in a seven-day jail sentence and 36 months of supervised probation.
The actor had another arrest in October 2020, when he faced charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault, as well as interfering with a police report. Reflecting on the 2020 incident in a 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bryan downplayed the physical nature of the altercation, saying, “We didn’t even really get that physical. We got really loud.”
After that incident, Bryan pleaded guilty to two counts of menacing and assault in the fourth degree, which were categorized as domestic violence charges.
