A day after news broke that Gisele Bündchen had welcomed her first child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente, Tom Brady shared a heartfelt message about love. On Thursday, February 6, the NFL legend, 47, took to his Instagram Stories to post a quote reflecting on the essence of being loved and forming meaningful connections.
“I really think the secret to being loved is to love. And the secret to being interesting is to be interested. And the secret to having others find beauty in you is to find beauty in others. And the secret to having a friend is being a friend.”
The quote, attributed to @larissa_raymond, seemed to resonate deeply with Brady, who simply captioned it: “Love this.”
His post came just a day after TMZ reported on February 5 that Bündchen, 44, and Valente, 37, had welcomed a healthy baby. While the couple initially kept details under wraps, People later confirmed through a source that the newborn is a baby boy. Though his first name remains unknown, the insider revealed that his middle name is River, continuing Bündchen’s tradition of giving her children water-related middle names.
Bündchen already shares 12-year-old daughter Vivian Lake and 15-year-old son Benjamin Rein with Brady, while the former quarterback is also a father to 17-year-old John “Jack” Edward Thomas, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Leading up to her son’s birth, a source told People that the Brazilian supermodel was in a great place, describing her as “the happiest she’s ever been.” The couple had reportedly been excitedly preparing for the baby’s arrival, with plans for a home birth.
Bündchen and Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor, were first linked romantically in 2023, shortly after she and Brady finalized their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. Despite their split, Brady and Bündchen continue to co-parent their children, maintaining a strong focus on their family.
