Tom Hiddleston went to a pub, then got blamed for causing the storm that took out the power

Tom Hiddleston, better known as Loki, has found himself in a bit of a stormy situation—quite literally. While dining at a pub in Hampshire, UK, during a visit with friends and family, Storm Darragh decided to cut the power, causing chaos. A kitchen porter at the pub, Laura Walsha, jokingly accused Hiddleston of causing the disruption, to which he of course denied any involvement. However, the timing of the storm did raise a few eyebrows, with the power cut happening just after Hiddleston and his party had finished their meals. Despite the power outage, the pub staff kept the atmosphere cozy with candles and a fire, creating a scene reminiscent of the Asgardian halls Loki might be accustomed to.

While Loki may have caused a storm in a pub, Hiddleston has been busy with other projects. He is starring in The Life of Chuck, a film based on Stephen King’s novella, directed by Mike Flanagan, alongside stars like Karen Gillan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mark Hamill. It’s set to hit theaters in May 2025. As for his Loki character, the God of Mischief is currently exploring the time tree era, so while Hiddleston’s live-action appearances may be rare for now, fans can still catch him voicing Loki in What If…? season 3 on Disney Plus.
