Toolkit case: Activist Disha Ravi granted bail by Delhi Court

A court in Delhi has granted bail to 22-year-old climate change activist Disha Ravi.

She was arrested for sharing a toolkit that was also posted by Greta Thunberg on her twitter handle. Ravi confessed to editing it a little and then sharing the toolkit. She has to, however, pay two sureties of Rs.1 lakh each. During the bail hearing, the judge asked Delhi police, “What exactly is the evidence collected by you against this lady connecting her to the violence perpetuated on Jan 26? Is there any evidence? Or are required to merely work on surmises, conjectures?” The prosecution claimed Disha Ravi created the toolkit along with a Khalistani group named Poetic Justice Foundation.

Disha’s lawyer  Advocate Siddharth Agarwal refused the claims and said the toolkit was merely to organise peaceful farmer protests and had no connection to the January 26 violence that took place at Red Fort, Delhi.
