Now that wedding season is well underway, the cuisine is one element that completes the surroundings. The cuisine is one of the key elements of any wedding that creates memories, and as culinary trends change, so do the creative and constantly evolving methods that it is offered.
If you want your guests to enjoy themselves more and feel more at home at your wedding, keep an eye out for these trends.
1. DIY food stations
Do-it-yourself food stations, which let visitors prepare their own meals, are another trend that has gained popularity recently. Everyone can participate in this fun and participatory experience. For a unique and unforgettable dining experience, The Paan Story, a tobacco-free gourmet paan brand, sets up DIY paan, churan, and mukhwas at weddings.
2. “His and hers” drinks
Beverages that complement the wedding’s theme and the characteristics and personalities of the bride and groom. What could be more fascinating than learning about the people getting married? Consider the preferences of the bride and groom while selecting personalised signature cocktails.
3. How your menu tells your story
Adding a little bit of your own history to your cuisine is a new trend that is spreading over wedding menus: gene food. This trend looks at family recipes, dishes passed down from family members, and local specialities that are meaningful to both parties.
The primary concept is to serve delectable cuisine and stories to the customers, incorporating an emotional element. Traditional street snacks and other foods that the bride and groom enjoy can also be explored by the trend.
4. Golgappe stroller
A waiter is shown reinventing the way golgappas are served in a widely shared video from Bangalore-based catering company Jaipal Chat House and Caterers. With a tray of pre-loaded golgappas (packed with spiced potatoes and other condiments) and a tank of flavor-infused water slung to his back, he serves visitors as he goes about. This kind of arrangement guarantees a distinctive service experience while minimising clutter.
We came up with this concept so that we could serve everyone and reduce the lengthy lines. We took inspiration from the equipment used to serve beer and we incorporated that notion to be used for our benefit,” shares Jaipal Sharma, owner of Jaipal Chat House and Caterers.
