Top Nuke Scientist from China found dead under mysterious circumstances

A top nuclear scientist from China and the vice-president of Harbin Engineering University was found dead after allegedly jumping off from a top of a building. The scientist who got identified is Mr. Zhang Zhijian, he was the vice-president of the Chinese Nuclear Society in the university.

South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, the university within the capital of Heilongjiang said that police had ruled out homicide because the explanation for death after on-site investigations did not provide further details

Harbin Engineering University announced with deep grief, Professor Zhang Zhijian regrettably fell off a building and died at 9.34 am on June 17, 2021,” the statement read. “The university expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate death of comrade Zhang Zhijian with deep condolences to his family.”

There was no other official statement released by the authorities on Zhang’s death. At the time of his death, his name remained on the top of leadership list of the university’s website on Friday.

Zhang was a professor at the school of nuclear science and technology at the university. He was in the position of the vice-president of the Chinese Nuclear Society. He was also a member of the committee of the Communist Party committee at the Harbin Engineering University.
