Tottenham Hotspur signs Israel forward Manor Solomon on five-year deal

Manor Solomon, a forward, has been signed by Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer.

Solomon, who spent last season on loan at Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk, has agreed to a five-year contract with Spurs. The 23-year-old Israel international made his Premier League debut as a member of Fulham FC in his first season, scoring in 5 consecutive matches from February 11 to March 6, becoming the first Israeli player to do so.

Solomon’s outstanding play this season drew buyers from all across Europe, including Barcelona, Arsenal and RB Leipzig.

However, it appears that the winger chose Tottenham, a club rich with a rich and storied Jewish influence and fanbase. The Athletic also reported that Solomon was drawn to join Tottenham by the club’s massive fanbase in Israel and London’s Jewish community.

He is now Spurs’ third summer signing, after the arrivals of Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison, as new manager Ange Postecoglou begins to prepare the new team for a good run next season.
