Trent Alexander and Arnold included in England’s final 26 member sqaud for Euro 2020

Trent Arnold made it to the final 26-man squad for the upcoming European Championship. He was included in the provisional 33-man squad along with fellow right-backs Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker.

The right-back position for England is the most fiercely contested position in the squad, England’s squad is one of the favorites to win the tournament this Summer. Southgate suggested that Alexander Arnold could be playing in the midfield position as well, this flexibility is one of the reasons for his inclusion in the list

Mason Greenwood withdrew his name from the provisional squad as he needs to recover from an underlying injury that he sustained playing for Manchester United. Jesse Lingard was also not included in the squad even though he performed exceptionally well for West Ham United in the Premier League and regained his confidence that he lacked while playing for Manchester United.

Harry Maguire was not playing for Manchester United in their defeat against Villarreal but he is said to be included in the squad, also Jordan Henderson has also not featured for Liverpool since February but he is also said to be included in the final squad. Southgate will be announcing the squad today.
