Bombay High Court, on Tuesday, granted bail to former BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta in the TRP scam case. He was arrested for his alleged involvement in the case.
Justice Prakash D Naik granted the bail to Dasgupta on a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh and solvent sureties. Dasgupta will be required to deposit cash bail immediately while he can furnish solvent surety certificates within six weeks from his bail.
Partho Dasgupta was arrested on December 24 as he was charged with a criminal breach of trust and cheating.
He is required to deposit his passport. He will have to report to the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on the first Saturday of each month for 6 months and once in 3 months later. He is asked to appear for trial whenever summoned.
