Trump sets up office in Florida; calls it ‘Office of the Former President’

Ex-US President Donald Trump set up an office in Palm Beach County, Florida and named it “The Office of the Former US President.” This is seen as an indicator of the fact that he may not run for presidency in 2024.

The office will handle public statements and official activities, among other things, as told by a statement from the office. He spoke to a reporter some days after leaving the White House but did not talk much about his plans for the future. He is expected to live in Florida along with his aides.

Meanwhile the US House of Representatives delivered articles of impeachment to the Senate in order to impeach the Former President. This will not only be the first time that any President had to face impeachment trials twice in US history, but also the first time a President faces the trial after stepping down from office.
