Twitter gives a written apology for wrong geo-tagging of Ladakh in China

On wednesday, Twitter has apologized in written in the form of an affidavit signed by Damien Karien, chief privacy officer of Twitter Inc to a key parliamentary panel for wrongly showing Ladakh in China and has promised to correct it by the month end, said Meenakshi Lethi, committee’s chairperson. Last month, the joint committee of parliament in data protection bill had come down heavily on Twitter saying it has hurt indian sentiments and seeked explanation.
