Early on Monday morning, two buses collided on the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, injuring several people, according to news agency PTI.
At least 40 people suffered injuries in the collision near the Mile Stone 110 Raya Cut in Mathura, as per news agency ANI.
Around 3 in the morning, a bus travelling from Dholpur to Noida and another bus travelling from Etawah to Noida collided. Low visibility because of fog is said to be a contributing factor to the incident. There is still a lot of fog in certain parts of north India, making visibility poor.
According to officials, nine more injured people were admitted to other hospitals, while 31 injured passengers were admitted to the district hospital.
Meanwhile, two cars crashed in the Sikar area of Rajasthan on Sunday afternoon, resulting in six deaths and five injuries. The incident happened on a highway in Laxmangarh tehsil.
Laxmangarg deputy superintendent of police Dharmaram Gila stated, “We received information about a collision between two vehicles on the highway… Six people have died in the accident and five injured have been admitted to the hospital …”
The police official stated that the identity of the dead was being ascertained and that the police found two identity cards in both cars: one from Maulasar district, Nagaur, and the other from Sikar.
