Uddhav Thackeray, president of Shiv Sena (UBT) faction, on Wednesday, met Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar in latter’s chamber. However, later the former lost his position to Eknath Shinde, who created split in Shiv Sena and joined hands with BJP. The political twists and turns in Maharashtra today made Ajit join hands with CM Shinde and is sharing the post of Deputy CM with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis.
Speaking of the meeting, Uddhav shared that he has asked Ajit to pay attention to various issues faced by farmers and people of the state. “I requested him [Ajit Pawar] that in the midst of all political upheavel, important and fundamental issues should not get overlooked,” stated Uddhav.
The political leader, son of late Balasaheb Thackeray, founder of Shiv Sena, was among the attendees at Opposition Meeting held in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18.
