The UK is all set to become the first country to approve Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine. Clearance of the vaccine is possible next week, an unidentified official said. The UK has long back confirmed it would move swiftly with any promising vaccine candidate. MHRA said that it needed to access Plifzer vaccine, “make a decision in the shortest time possible, without compromising the thoroughness of our review”. China and Russia have cleared vaccines for general use but they remain unadopted in the US and Europe.
