Union government suspends internet services till Jan 31

The Union Home Ministry has decided to temporarily suspend the internet services at Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri borders and areas adjoining these borders from Jan 29, 2021 till January 31, 2021.  According to the Home Ministry this decision is being taken to restore peace and maintain public safety amid ongoing farmer’s protest.

Thousands of farmers from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh are said to be travelling towards Ghazipur border to extend their support to the farmer’s and participate in the ongoing Kisan Mahapanchayat. But Delhi Police has closed the NH-24 and Ghaziabad & Ghazipur border on Jan 30, as per the latest reports.

The Khattar government has also suspended the internet services in Sonipat, Palwal & Jhajjar. Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath has cut off the power & water supply of the farmers protesting at the Ghazipur border.
