Union government to provide Rs. 6000 incentive to sugar exports

Indian exporters have made a deal for exporting sugar after the cabinet committee on Economic Affairs in a meeting held on December 16 decided to give Rs 6000 per tonne incentive on commodity shipments. The incentive will cost the Union government 3500 crore but will help in exporting 60 lakh tonnes of sugar.

Indian exporters have already started selling raw sugar $365 & $375 a tonne. This has attracted many buyers from Indonesia and it is expected it will soon come up with raw sugar import quota.
