The United States of America has been conducting operations against the Al-Shabaab militant group in Somalia since the early 2000’s. These operations have killed hundreds of civilians by drone strikes. The US President before leaving his office has ordered the removal of majority of military personnel out of Somalia by the start of next year. This decision reflects his thinking that the US forces should be out of endless wars abroad.
