Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Upcoming Film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ Postponed to September

The highly anticipated romantic entertainer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has a new theatrical release date. The film, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, will now hit the big screens on September 12, 2025. Originally set for release on April 18, 2025, the makers have postponed it due to undisclosed reasons.

Directed and written by Sashank Khaitan, the film marks the second collaboration between Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor after their successful film Bawaal in 2023. The movie also features Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi in prominent roles. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the film’s release, especially after Varun Dhawan shared multiple behind-the-scenes glimpses on social media. In one of the BTS videos, Varun humorously introduced his character Sunny and Sanskari, teasing the identity of Tulsi Kumari without revealing too much. The video also featured director Shashank Khaitan, adding a playful vibe to the anticipation.

Besides Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Varun Dhawan is also currently shooting for Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Fans can expect a grand cinematic spectacle from both these upcoming releases.
