Varun Dhawan’s performance in the upcoming war drama Border 2 has found a powerful admirer in Khushboo Patani, sister of actor Disha Patani and a former Indian Army Major. Taking to Instagram Stories, Khushboo shared a heartfelt note appreciating Varun’s portrayal of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, calling it a performance that deeply resonated with her own experiences in the armed forces.
Sharing a poster from the film featuring Varun in uniform, Khushboo described his act as “memorable” and said it brought back vivid memories from her training academy days. Her note highlighted the strong sense of brotherhood in the armed forces and concluded with patriotic sentiments. Varun was quick to acknowledge the praise, responding with gratitude and thanking Khushboo for her service to the nation.
The appreciation comes at a time when Varun has also revealed the physical toll the film took on him. The actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from the Border 2 sets, showing a combat sequence that resulted in what he described as the worst injury of his career. While trying to avoid colliding with the camera during a shot, Varun fell and hit his tailbone against a rock, leading to a hairline fracture.
Despite the intense pain and difficulty walking, Varun continued shooting with the support of his team. The video drew reactions from colleagues, with Maniesh Paul praising his dedication and Banita Sandhu expressing concern over the injury, further highlighting the actor’s commitment to the demanding role.
