The story of the film, which is set in a Kundapura village, centres on Vasanthi (Bhoomi Shetty), a young girl who is the family’s breadwinner and lives with her grandparents, parents, and younger brother. Vasanthi supports her ill mother and alcoholic father with her limited earnings from working at a local cashew nut plant. She also tries to provide her brother with a quality education. Vasanthi chronicles the difficulties she encounters on her journey.
The language of the Kundapura region and the story’s deep roots, in Raghavendra’s opinion, are the film’s highlights.
He continues by saying that the movie is set a few decades ago and that it emphasises village life and the challenges a young lady faced in running a household. For its theatrical premiere, the team had concentrated on the Karavalli region in light of this.
During the film’s premiere, seasoned actor Prabhakar Kundar heaped praise on his co-star Bhoomi, stating that her portrayal of Vasanthi will have viewers cheering for her as if she were a part of their own family. In the movie, which marks the actor’s fourth association with filmmaker Raghavendra, he plays Vasanthi’s grandfather.
